St. James Episcopal Church

A Welcoming Community of Open Hearts and Discerning Minds

Welcome!

Welcome to St. James! We are glad you found us. If you are looking for a spiritual home, we are especially happy that you have found this site.

We welcome all people into our midst as we would welcome Jesus Christ himself, without regard to race, color, ethnic origin, national origin, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, disabilities or age.

We take our Baptismal Covenant seriously; we do our best to continue in the apostle’s teachings and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and in the prayers; we work to persevere in resisting evil and when we fall into sin we repent and return to the Lord; we do our best to proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ; we strive to seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbor as ourselves; and we strive for justice and peace among all people, and endeavor to respect the dignity of every human being.

At St. James, you’ll find a community of people trying to live their lives as followers of Jesus Christ. You'll be warmly welcomed. And wherever you are on your spiritual journey, we will be glad to meet you. Of course, the best way to get to know about St. James Episcopal Church is to visit us on a Sunday morning or at our other worship and fellowship opportunities.

We also know that the thought of showing up on a Sunday can be a bit scary. Don't worry; we would be happy to talk with you or to meet you any time. Maybe you'd like to ask a few questions over a cup of coffee? Or, maybe you just would like us to pray for you? Whatever you need, please just let us know by emailing or calling the parish office.

It is through this understanding that we are able to come together as a family and gather around the table and be fed with spiritual food and drink, the Body and Blood of Christ. “As it was with Jesus, the people of St. James believe in “open table” fellowship. All people present for the liturgy of the Holy Eucharist are welcome to receive the blessed bread and wine, the sacrament of Christ’s love for us.”

Whether you are looking for a spiritual home or a place to simply rest for awhile on your spiritual journey, we hope that you will consider St. James to be that place. We hope to meet you in person soon!
